India has launched retaliatory strikes against Pakistan following the brutal killing of 26 Indian civilians in Kashmir. According to India’s Ministry of Defence, the operation specifically targeted “terror launchpads” and logistic camps across the Line of Control (LOC).
The Pakistani military has condemned the Indian strikes, calling them an unprovoked act of aggression. The ISPR claims that Indian warplanes briefly crossed the border before being engaged by air defense systems.
According to Pakistani officials, emergency response teams have been dispatched to civilian zones near Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The operation is a direct response to the April 23 attack in Pahalgam where 26 civilians were killed. India blames Pakistan-based groups for the incident.
Initial strikes focused on suspected terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and along the Punjab region.
Pakistan claims it has activated defensive positions and responded with artillery fire. No official military retaliation has been confirmed.
Military analysts believe the next 24–48 hours are critical. Both countries have moved forces to the border and global leaders are urging de-escalation.
