In a dramatic escalation, India has launched a military operation against Pakistan, targeting what the Indian Ministry of Defence describes as “terror hubs” in both Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has condemned the attack, accusing India of violating international norms and deliberately targeting civilian areas.
“This is a cowardly attack on innocent civilians,” said a senior Pakistani official. Pakistan claims it has already shot down two Indian aircraft and is on high alert across LOC and Balochistan.
Due to the ongoing military escalation, non-essential travel to Pakistan, especially near border zones, is strongly discouraged.
According to Indian officials, precision-guided airstrikes were launched at designated terror camps. Pakistan reports missiles hit both military and civilian locations.
This operation follows a deadly attack on Indian forces in Jammu & Kashmir, which India blames on Pakistan-backed groups. Pakistan denies involvement.
Pakistan maintains an air force fleet that includes F-16s and JF-17 Thunder jets. The exact number of active combat-ready aircraft is classified.
